Challenge
Four sensor ports, one PCB and an environmental seal in a body small enough to be mounted anywhere — with a lid that can be removed in the field without losing that seal.
User and product research
Mounting and servicing scenarios determined the split line, the fastener strategy and how the unit is oriented once installed.
Industrial design
A machined faceted body with a ribbed lid for grip and thermal surface area; the branding plate doubles as the orientation marker.

Human factors
Port spacing, lid removal and orientation were set so the module can be serviced with gloves and without ambiguity.
Prototype and testing
Machined prototypes validated seal compression, port alignment and board clearance.
Final solution
A sealed, serviceable module with a consistent assembly sequence and a finish specified for field conditions.
